I have been thinking on and off about Rosie's challenge to dress inspired by a piece of art and being a person who loves art galleries and also one who has been lucky enough to visit some of the great collections in the World it was one that I didn't want to pass up.
The artwork that I have chosen is Henri Matisse's The Dance (second version), which I have seen twice, once in London and once at its permanent home in the Hermitage in St Petersburg:

The aspect of the painting that inspired my outfit is the colours - orange, blue and green - three colours that I wouldn't have thought about putting together all at once had it not been for this challenge.
So here is my outfit - http://picasaweb.google.com/lh.....directlink
Green skirt from H&M, orange tank and navy cardigan from Uniqlo, sandals from Clarks, stupid expression all mine!
I know that this is no where near a killer outfit, the tank is not skirt length and I really need a heel with skirts that finish just below the knee, but it was fun to put together some different colours. I would also like to try it with a denim skirt, the orange tank and a green cardigan (but I don't have one).
