Another SBF outfit and sizing wonkiness

Can you tell I love this style? I wore this very casual look on the drive to the cabin Friday. These are the Gap SBFs in size 2.

And for comparison, here are the size 2 and size 6, just washed, with basically the same waist size. What gives?

And too right, that's bizarre with the waistbands! Are they both really stretched straight? Unbelievable! Did you buy them around the same time? I'm just trying to imagine maybe the manufacturing factory or pattern base changed in between, or something. Makes no sense at all otherwise! (But hey, I ended up buying my skinnies in UK size 14 --- after first finding them a perfect fit in a 10, and then not being able to get into the 10 at a different store mere days later.)

I hate inconsistent sizing. That is truly bizarre - were both purchased at the same time?

I find sizing quite inconsistent everywhere! Love the jeans on you. This is a perfect casual look.

Cool look. I can't say enough about gap and their inconsistent sizing. I range from a 2 to a 6, often for the same pair of jeans or pants.

That is really bizarre with the sizing--I just tried on sizes 0, 2, and 4 in the same Gap BF jeans (same wash) and the amount of waist slippage was very different for me. Maybe they're inconsistent among pairs of the same size (different factory runs)?

Ah, they look just as good as the larger size but with a different vibe! I have a feeling they would be crotch-tastic on me but seeing you in them makes me want to try it anyway. So great!

Rae, you really should try them. I know the drop-crotch makes you feel butch (which I don't mind, as you know!), but I think your regular size (whatever that is in this crazy sizing situation) would have a tomboy vibe without being too much, IYKWIM.

These pairs were bought a month apart. Tthey are the same style and wash. they do fit differently, mostly in the crotch and legs, but it was still surprising to see the waist situation!

re. sizing: I find it's everyone. All the time, I'll try on two items of the same size and style, just because you never know.

Love this look Una! I'd be all over these jeans if I was shopping anything more than my closet right now! I don't get the sizing thing either - in the past, GAP sizing has always been consistent for me - but in reading other peoples' comments, it sounds as though this is their norm. Makes for a great adventure everytime doesn't it?

You look great in this outfit. I agree it's the perfect formula for casual places. Worn, rolled and loose denim fits in perfectly in places like where I live, because people don't even see it as fashionable therefore it makes them comfortable. Just my observation as to why bf and distressed denim is working so well for me right now.
