I'm sorry I've been scarce lately. Life has been a little more intense than normal and I haven't had the emotional reserves for even fun social interaction. My clothing journey continues with a few challenges due to some small weight fluctions. I have found a few new loose tops to wear, which has changed things up in a good way, I've just been too busy to get photos. Mostly these days, my style journey has been more about the hair. I came home one evening to find my husband all excited about some new music he found, and then he said the famous last words "you would love her hair - I can totally see you doing it." Challenge. Accepted. With the blessing and encouragement of both my husband and fearless 13 year old son, I went for it. I need to grow some of my hair out to make it more like the inspiration (although I may never go for the exact style she has) but so far I am LOVING it!

Photo 1: inspiration - Australian singer Emma Hewitt
Photos 2-5 - My version. I had NO idea I could have so much fun playing with such short hair. French braid? Why not? Photos 4 and 5 are nearly two weeks grown so it's about time to buzz the side again.
Photo 6 - My 13 year old chip off the old block. Pink hair? Why not? Middle school isn't a scary time to try out new styles... LOL - I have no idea where he gets these notions to experiment with his hair...
