And now I want another leather jacket

The leather jacket I got in Canada has loosened up nicely and I have no issues zipping it up now. I've been wearing it daily as a lightweight jacket (exactly as I'd hoped to wear it) instead of having to wear my (floppy) raincoat or trench.

But now I want another! The turquoise jacket is, sadly, no longer available. I have a coupon from the company which expires in 3 days.

I'm eyeing:

1) The red version of the one I already got.
2) This bordeaux jacket I tried on when I went back to buy the leathercare spray.

Tell me I don't need another jacket. Tell me that duplicating the same jacket in a different color is a bad idea. Tell me that the bordeaux version is also a duplicate because it is a dark color. Tell me that if I truly want another jacket, I should just wait till next year.

Is this Danier?

I love the bordeaux jacket ... but uh, you would wear the one you love so much only half as much because you'd be wearing two jackets, which would drive up the cost per wear, right?

I would not get exactly the same style... I'm sure you can find a variation that suits as well, but isn't an exact repeat.

If the turquoise were still available, would you still have a hard time deciding? If so, maybe wait for next season or next year and see what comes out.

AG: Good point. I think I'm afraid I'll never find a leather jacket that fits again. So now that I've found multiple ones, I want to snatch (at least one) up.

Rae: I love the "idea" of turquoise but the red would probably be most useful to me and is calling to me the most. If the second jacket was red...then I'd be able to claim it was a different color *and* a different style.

Sarah: I know! It's always feast or famine when it comes to clothes that fit.

I'm biased by thinking I won't find a jacket that fits when I'm ready to buy another. I should probably see how well my current jacket wears before committing to buying a second. After 9 wears, the exterior looks great, but there are already some wear marks/snags on the fabric lining. I should see if the lining makes it to the end of the 1 year warranty period without tearing.
