Hi Everyone!

I decided to post some outfits today, including the outfit I wore to our mutual birthday party on Friday the 17th.

Party. I did a "smoky eye" and nude lipstick like Kyle suggested. It was fun! Also, I wore my boyfriend cardi over a dress, as Angie had blogged about it a few days before, and I had that in my head:

Here's what I wore today. It's sort of the equivalent of my "jeans and t-shirt." It's really comfortable and easy and I don't have to put much thought into it. It's not the most fashionable ensemble, but I think it's okay. I pull it out when I'm feeling sort of lazy.

I usually wear my glasses at school and then take them off when I leave and do other things, like shop. But today I wore them all day, and they were a big hit at the mall! Lots of people liked them and commented/complimented me on them. Thanks again for helping me pick them out!

Ana, both outfits are gorgeous, but you look smoking hot in your b-day outfit! and I love the make-up, it looks really good! I love the pops of red in the second one, it brings it up to a whole new level.

Thank you everyone! Your compliments really mean a lot to me, especially about my hair. Because of what a disaster it was last time I cut it short, I was afraid I'd be kind of sensitive about it, but I'm not at all! Bobby gave me a great cut this time, and because Brendan and you all like it and have made me feel really good about it, I've been very confident. I've mainly gotten really good feedback, but there have been a few people who are not fans (not rude or anything), but I don't care at all. I feel really great and really happy with my hair. It actually feels more "me" than long hair did (which makes sense since I was only growing it out because Brendan really wanted me to, hee hee). I am definitely keeping it short for the foreseeable future.

It's just flat red circles. I got it at the AT Outlet earlier this summer.

Also, good to know the white button down works. It's actually a men's shirt that I bought a while ago before I cut my hair, so I wasn't sure if it looked too masculine now. Thanks everyone!

Adore the bday outfit. Makes me kick myself for not buying that bf cardi I tried on last week at BR. It was perfect in every way - length, shape, color, material - but worn over my jeans, I didn't feel I could pull it off at my age because it showed every lump and bump around my aging mid-section. The sales clerk (my age) agreed that I conceal this area much better with a shorter cardi. I passed it up - quite wistfully - since it was a look I adored in my teens and 20s before babies, and I had a bf cardi that was nearly identical!

And now I see you in this bf cardi over a DRESS and I'm going, "like duh..." that is such a smart idea! I could do that! Why didn't I think of that! (of course, I wear dresses infrequently in the winter... but... still).

Sigh...

Love the nude lipstick and smoky eyes. You really do have amazing eyes - and bone structure. The hair cut brings this out very nicely.

I also love the white shirt and jeans - so simple yet sophisticated. Effortless!

And those specs are to die for!

P.S. After seeing this, I am going to check out some menswear white button-front shirts. I'm a rectangle and often have fit issues with women's shirts... too many curves. Thanks for the idea!
