Worn for a warm and muggy day -- I worked at home for a while and then joined hubs and stepsons for drinks and dinner at our favorite local Mexican place.

I wore these black Michael Kors shorts a lot when I first got them, 5-6 years ago, but they've been mostly neglected for the last couple of years. They do stretch out a bit with wear, so they need to be washed after every wear, but oddly enough, they've maintained their black color pretty well. The Karen Millen shirt was from about 3 years ago, and is almost too form-fitting for my taste right now (darn perimenopausal weight gain!), but I had the shoulders altered to bring the neckline up (a lot of tops are too long from shoulders to bust on me, so this really helped), and that also helped the fit through the body. One side of the top is ruched, so I think that helps ease the fit too. I love the print on the shirt enough that I wanted to keep it and make it work, even if I don't wear it often.

Finshed off with silver DV slip on sneakers and silver Milly tote. Again, just a shorts-and-a-top formula, but I think when the top has such an interesting print, it makes the outfit not so ho-hum. Also, I get compliments on these shoes every time I wear them!
