I am particularly enamored of the cape and eye mask -- oh wait, that isn't you...
I think this batch is your most relaxed-yet-smart-looking collection of outfits yet. Well done! If I had one suggestion it would be, perhaps, to button the dark cardi with the scarf a couple more buttons worth toward the bottom. But I am rather new to this myself, so will defer to the more expert opinions.
I agree with Susan. Going well
I also wonder if the vest over the blouse is a a little short - but I wonder this if I just haven't adjusted to this look yet
I like your layering techniques, Christine. You are skilled! But your tops seem short for pants, and it’s especially important to get that right when you’re a pretty pear. Does that make sense?
The long necklace is great and I like the colour effect of the scarf. You look great in that shade of blue. I’d also like to see your dress a little shorter. But you’re getting there, so well done! Batboy is adorable :0)
Thanks everyone. I FEEL like I'm making progress, and hearing your responses helps give me confidence. In my shopping (which I haven't done much of lately, I'm afraid) I'm concentrating on longer tops, definitely. Taking pictures often really makes me see how longer tops in pants is much more flattering.
You are looking polished. Good job. The dress is so pretty.
Your son is adorable and reminds me of when my son was that age and loved to wear a cape around everyday for a while. Little boys are so cute and full of energy.
san - little boys are definitely fun. I have three, and my youngest is 3yo. It's such a fun age. After ds#3 was born, people kept asking us if we were going to try again for a girl and I'd always say 'What in the world would I do with a girl?' I'm the mom to boys & very satisfied with that.
christine, great layering and use of color. I really like the first outfit with the green sweater. It looks perfect with the long necklace too. I can see what Angie is saying about top length - as lovely as the blue sweater is on you , the top does seem awfully short. Can you wear a longer cami under it? The dress seems a little long but it might work better paired with boots - do you have any tall boots to try with it? Or how about pairing it with that long black boyfriend cardi? I think the length makes it a little old-fashioned but if you just add something modern it would work.
I have two boys and people always ask me if I want to try for a girl and I feel the same as you. Some women are just meant to be mothers of sons, I say!
