Here are a few outfits from the second half of the month. I'm embarassed to see that 3 out of 6 feature the same blue cardigan. I swear I don't wear it every day, really! I just happen to be on a blue and green kick, and the cardi works well in this in-between stage of not quite winter anymore but certainly not yet spring.

The last outfit features my new spring scarf (also in blues and greens) tied with "the Angie knot" (TM).

Love these outfits, Antje! Your clothes fit you so well and you combine colours perfectly.

I love the way you wear skirts and the last outfit with the boots is terrific and classy. Beautiful cardigan - I'd wear it all the time too!

As usual, you look effortlessly chic and fun. It's hard to see your new scarf in the last photo, but you can see just a bit of color peeking out and it does add "authority" and polish to your outfit. Blue and green are one of my favorite color combos. What kind of scarf is it- I'm wondering if only square scarves work like this, tucked into shirts.

And what great thrift finds- love the blue of your cardigan. Do you sometimes find the thrift stores here in Seattle charge as much as sale prices of department stores? I actually got some $5 shirts from Macy's- same type of thing was $6.99 at Value Village. I don't get it. But I have found some expensive pieces for very little at thrift stores, so I'll keep on the hunt.

You look wonderful in all the pictures Antje, and I don't blame you for wearing the blue cardigan often. It's gorgeous and you look fantastic in it.
But I have to say the scarves are stealing the show this time. I LOVE them (the blue, red, cream/white one is beautiful too!!).

I can't wait to learn the Angie knot (yep, I have a number of scarves myself, but I can never get those knots right, not even with Youtube tutorials, I'm hoping that somehow Angie can 'get through to me';-)

Antje, you are so cool! My favorite color is blue so my favorite is the dress over jeans with the cardi. I also love seeing your red handbag-- I have realized that I don't really know what Antje handbag style is.

Antje -- I "almost-bought" the black Target belt you are wearing in #2 about six times. Now it doesn't seem to be available. Too bad, because seeing you in it made me wish I had bought it! Looks great.

Also, you have inspired me re. flower pins. I got two made of fabric and am about to figure out how to incorporate them into my wardrobe...

I particularly like your final outfit, with the scarf, and I can totally see the authoritative quality that Angie was talking about.

Patience - interesting that you comment on the previous lack of bags in my pictures. I wish I already had an "Antje handbag style" down; I sadly don't. I only really started bags in different colors a couple years ago, and I've been very cheap. I have no problems splurging on lots of great shoes at full price, but somehow I have been very reluctant to invest in a quality bag. I like the red one in this photo, which was a total coup - $10 in a thrift store, it's in tip top shape, and the perfect color red for me. I also have a yellow one from H&M that I love because it's bright and makes me smile because it looks like sunshine. But otherwise I tote around various bags from Target or H&M that don't really make me happy because they were quick and thoughtless purchases. I decided to look for a truly "great bag" this spring; something of good quality, versatile color, perfect size and shape, and that truly elevates an outfit, and I'll be happy to pay more than my usual twentyfive bucks for it... I might solicit help with that in a future thread!

Antje, I especially like how you've layered the shorter cardigan over the longer sleeved blouse. I've never tried that look before, and it really works well on you.

You know, I'm the same way about buying cheap purses but feeling like I can splurge on shoes. I don't think I've ever spent more than $40 on a handbag, I tend to buy one bag and use it until it dies, and I really don't rotate unless it's for a fancy event. I'm thinking about starting a separate post about this.

Love all the outfits!! I love the dress with the black belt, seems very you! The color is really working and the proportions of your layering are original and right on! Where do you get those short sleeve cropped cardigans and how does one tie the Angie knot? Did I miss a demonstration? Antje, your posts are inspiring, would like to steal some looks!

Jean/Greenglove: The black short sleeve cardi is from J Crew (bought last year; it came in many colors). It's a GREAT piece, the quality has held up really well. I hope they'll have them again this spring and summer; I'll definitely buy another one. The blue one is from the BP department at Nordstrom (but I found it in a consignment store); it's very similar though not quite as nice as the J Crew one.

San: Etsy is of course a super source for pins and other accessories. But the flower pin I got is from Target (and I have another one from H&M), and I've seen them also at Macys and other stores lately, so you shouldn't have trouble finding one. Some come as pin/barrette combos, and it's easy to take out the barrette part.

I love the vest with ruffled shirt. I just bought a vest and am on the lookout for a ruffled shirt to go under. I'm hoping it's a way I can wear ruffles even with being busty.
The dress, cardigan, and belt combo is divine. I love the funky look of long sleeve under short.
I'd wear the blue cardi a lot too! It fits you so well and you really mix it up. I think my favorite with that cardi is the dress with pants look. So cute!
