I have had a heck of a time actually getting pictures taken lately. I managed to snap a couple recently. Here they are.

The first outfit was a work outfit. I had done something similiar before but wanted to try a ruffle shirt. I was inspired by a lot of other ladies wonderful outfits. But I'm not sure if this execution worked.

The second outfit I put together for a date with my hubby last night. I was trying to do something a little more youthful. I realize that I tend toward a more mature look and I'm trying to break out of that a bit.

I getting ready for a closet sweep in preparation for a clothing swap in the next few weeks. My next few posts will probably be questions about that. I'm excited!

Alecia-It is hard for me to see your pics very well on my screen for some reason, but what I can see, I like! Your date outfit is very cute!

Hi Alecia, your date outfit is cute. For the work outfit, I really like all the individual pieces, but I feel the long sweater would work better with slim pants, while the wide leg pants would work better with a shorter tailored top or blouse. It will show your shape better. Does that make sense?

The first one is nice, but it's a lot of volume on volume. I think the top might work better with a slim leg pant? But let's hear what others say, because I'm still learning too!

Hi Alecia, your date outfit is gorgeous! You should definitely wear more similar ones.

I agree with the ladies above that the first outfit is too much volume. Both the sweater and pants are great though and would look wonderful with sleeker pieces.

I have the same response to your outfits. You look gorgeous in the date outfit and the work outfit is a bit too voluminous. The ruffle shirt under the long sweater looks great, though. You can definitely wear that combo with another bottom.

Agree with the others 1,000 percent, but must gush further about your date outfit. WOW. You look absolutely incredible. Somewhere, Angie is in orbit! As Tarzy said, do more!!!

Your date night outfit has just the right amount of pizzaz! And the color of that jacket is gorgeous.

You received some great advice from Antje about the first outfit. I like the individual components, but they're not working together. The sweater seems a bit too long? But I'd have to see it with skinny jeans to know for sure.

From what I can see, the ruffled top is lovely and works with the sweater as you've paired it. I agree with the others that my first thought was that the pants have too much volume for the top but would be wonderful with something more fitted.

I completely agree with everyone else about the volume on the first outfit (the ruffled top looks great from what I can see) but the second outfit is incredible! I LOVE it. The sateen blazer, the shimmery top, the dark jeans--perfect. I'd wear it in a heartbeat.

I agree...the first outfit is too voluminous. Try the cardigan with skinnies, and maybe even a belt. Try the wide leg trousers with a more fitted top---maybe a turtleneck and fitted jacket or vest?

But I absolutely LOVE your date outfit. You look HOT HOT HOT!!!

Thanks, ladies. I will see what I can do with the components of the first outfit. Angie, you've got a good eye. I did get a new do. It's a lot more funky than my previous one. I was due for a change. I'm really having fun with it.
