Two WIWs:
First WIW is a white silk blouse from BR that I've had in my closet for two months now, deciding to keep or return. I tore the tags off. I know I'll get a ton of wear out of this this summer. Who knows why the initial hesitation. (Shrug.)
Wore it with JCrew Mid-rise Toothpicks and the Brooks Brothers leopard boots from Angie's boyfriend jean ensemble. Can I just say that I adore these boots!!! The quality is unbelievable, as it should be for their original price. Getting them on end of the season clearance was awesome. Even better? At BR, while I was doing a return, the male store manager goes out of his way to say "Love those boots!" as he walks by helping another customer. Yeah, baby! The funny thing is, every time that I put them on, I worry that they shorten my legs and feel like I'm wearing them with the wrong pant shape. It is taking work to adjust my eye to booties!
Second WIW is a new BR fitted shirt with rolled boyfriends and a new pair of impulse purchase flats. I love these flats! They are by Geox and popped up in a Zappos ad on the sidebar. Perfect. Comfortable, soft leather. Breathe well so toes aren't too sweaty. And they have a great loafer/pointy flat/bit of metal/bit of shine thing going on that is absolutely 100% in my core style. I'm wearing them today with the same shirt and a pair of black skinny ankle pants for work.
