My BF and I went to Oshawa in early August, to check on his dad, and set some eyes on what might or might not be going on there**. It was a very busy couple of weeks, cleaning and decluttering, and setting up internet, as well as some new social routines.

I slipped away to Oshawa Centre, and stopped in at Zara. I fell in love with some items that I thought were stellar. I bought a few pieces, and reluctantly left others behind.

I bought the Shimmer Mesh Top in both the gray and the gold. I've been mermaidcore for five years now, and I couldn't say no to these. I plan to wear them onstage with my rock band, and offstage with jeans and low-heeled pointed toes, similar to Dsquared2's Resort 2024 jeans looks. I'll layer with black, nude, and colored camis and crop tops. The tops are beautiful, with no loss so far on the rhinestones, although I'll be curious what happens after a few hand-washes. I haven't worn them yet. True to size, but I did size up to the medium, so that they would be easy to move around in.

The silver jeans were so good, that I actually made a second trip to retry them, but did not get them. I don't think the finish will stand up to a lot of laundering, and I wash my stage clothes after every show.

They still haunt me, because they fit great, and the color was beautiful. I've wanted metallic silver pants for a few years now. The website says high-waisted with a loose fit, but I sized down, and it had that sort of Charlie's Angels/Loni Anderson very nice 1970s fit. I thought these ran a little large, and was between the 2 and 4. I currently wear a 27 in jeans, and 4-6 in shorts. They still have them in stores and on the website, at least in the US.

The Printed Tulle Bodysuit was perfect, but I thought, "there's a bunch of these, I'll come back if it haunts me". It haunted me, but when I went back a few days later, every last one was gone. Same with a pair of baggy cargo jeans that aren't even on the website now. If you do come across this bodysuit, it covers a bra well, wasn't see-through, the colors are pretty. I sized up to have a less body-con fit that was still streamlined.

The Knit Bustier top was so beautiful. I really really really wanted it to work, but as an F/G cup, even the large didn't fit. This top is for a slim torso and smaller bust size.

**This is a whole other conversation for Off Topic, but I will say this: if you have an older relative who keeps reassuring you, "I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me", but they're pushing you away from coming inside the house, try to get in there and see what's happening, because eventually, you're going to have to handle things.
