Hi all,

I've been on the lookout for an understated pair of short black boots for a long time. My requirements are that they must have a mid-height, block heel yet be comfortable enough to walk for miles in, a pleasing toe shape, and nice, non-shiny leather. I think I've found the right ones, but they are not cheap and because it's a small boutique I can't return them, so I'm putting them up for your opinions. Normally I'm quite decisive with shoes, but I'm not so good at committing to very plain ones -- yet I'm often reaching for a pair of boots that fit the above description, and they are not there! The brand is Coclico, and the model is called 'Adrienne'. I think they will go with bootcut pants as well as skinny pants, and probably with skirts, too. I specifically need them to wear with wider leg styles, because although I have a few pairs of black boots that are high enough, the heels are the wrong shape. I only like bootcut/flared pants with thick heels.

Also, on a side note: I CANNOT shop for shoes online because I need to physically see and touch the leather! These boots are a good example why. With something as simple as this boot, the leather makes all the difference. These are beautiful quality, soft and matte.
