Your opinion of these jeans please

I think as long as you don't style with a pastel tee and white cardi tied around the shoulders (not that there's anything wrong with that) you're set against country club. I think they're fun! The scale of the print being on the smaller end still reads as a bit preppy to me though.

Maybe that was my hesitation, Aida, as preppy isn't really me. But I'm leaning toward giving them a try.

I like them and I think the fact that they are black and white helps mitigate the country club factor. I could see them with an edgy black top. Just don't pair with a pastel twin set!

I think they are worth a try at the very least. I would probably wear them with layered tanks and slip on runners but I know I swim against the current on the flat shoes with cropped pants looks.

Thanks everyone! I decided to give them a try. I don't have any patterned pants for summer so they will certainly be different. And I guarantee I won't pair them with a twin set

I love the movement in this print; it becomes a wavy abstract. I think of most preppy-type prints as much more static. I think you could tilt them either way: with bright sandals & tee for a preppy Summer look (very pretty in its way) or with chunky black lugsoles & asymmetrical top for cool-girl.

I tried these, and the fabric is fairly heavy so not terribly preppy IRL. For some reason these and another VC pair of jeans I tried sagged and bagged in the back making me look like an elephant mom from the back (but great in front). My first pair of VC jeans fit just fine, including the back. Hope these work for you!
