I'm afraid I am going to pass (I dropped my phone in a toilet and am currently phoneless, which is cutting down a lot on my YLF time - and also I think I'd find it stressfull rather than fun looking for things for people) I AM looking forward to reading the resultant threads though!

I'll try to chime in as as often as possible too.
Collecting the item you are suggesting for "the queen of the day" would
be handiest I think. That way people can keep track of the items they love and refer back to them whenever they need them.

I'd love to try and participate! I'm not sure how good I am at choosing for others, but I'll have a bash. As for myself, well, any chosen items would give me ideas for items I could sew.

Fun idea! Not sure I need any enabling, but I'm certainly up for vicariously shopping for others. And it could be fun to see what we all think each other might wear. Agree with Rachylou that maybe we all need more than a day to shop.

(Caveat: I'm not so familiar with the American brands and not all the European brands have finds enabled. I'll see how it goes.)

Una - not sure I'm a good candidate to play since I do not post wiw. But I just wanted to say this is brilliant!! Like having tons of stylists and super shoppers. I think you can get tons of insight from how other people interpret your style. Just an unbelievable awesome and fun idea!!

I'm sure a thread every few days, or even once a week, would be good timing, too; no need to wear Una out.

I love this idea but I have been so inconsistent in posting I don't know if it would be fair to ask people to help me. But I would like to try to chime in with suggestions when I have them.

This is a great idea! I love the idea but I'm on a shopping diet right now, so if you could put me down a ways on the list, that would be great. I was a little hesitant at first but if no one will get their feelings hurt if their items aren't bought, it sounds like fun. I'm not a great shopper so I don't know how much help I'll be to others, but I'll give it a shot.

Okay, sounds like people want to try this out! I will start a new thread with some basic guidelines and try to post every few days with a new "QOTD" (Queen of the Day)". If you are interested in joining in as a QOTD and haven't said so yet, just let me know, but you're also welcome to participate by shopping for others without being featured yourself, of course.

Una- I love this idea. While I don't post what I wore photos, I would be glad to participate for those who opt to be queen. Thanks for the suggestion. If the queen has any area they particularly want suggestions in (from a dress for a special occasion to loungewear), it could be useful to her shopping friends.

I would LOVE to do this! Thank you, Una! This is a game where it's fun to be either the shopper or the Queen. (If you have kids, this is a "cooperative" or "collaborative" game where the pink snail, and not a competitor, wins.)

I'd echo: you don't have to reply to every Queen, if you don't know the person's style / don't have enough time. This is just for funs.

And, if it's not too much for Una, I'd recommend, go ahead and tell her if you have a specific objective for your Queen for a Day moment: if you are looking for shoes for a specific event, etc. But we might chime in with random awesome Alice + Olivia jacket anyway for cocolion anyway, because we just can't help it. ETA oops, I stole Eliza's idea. But what I meant by this is "I agree with Eliza!"

@deb - I think that Finds is not set up in a way that we all can contribute to one board or collection, but I envision myself collecting all the Finds from my Queen day and putting them in a Collection. Others' Collections are visible, so if others do this with their new finds, these could be a fun collage of community.

I observe that when a gift is given, it is a reflection of the giver and the recipient. These wardrobe items probably will be similar, in that if we're more an urban pretty dresser, our eye is on those items constantly. We probably would put that twist on a shoe going to Deborah, which bridges her elegant looks and our RATE tendencies.

I think this is going to be fun. And, again, Una, thank you for organizing it, as frequently or infrequently as makes sense.
