Krishnidoux, you really captured Adele's dreamy expression!

Oh Aida, your posts are like "where do you want to go today"? It's mind-blowing. Your attention to details really leaves me speechless.

Kate, "if not for the challenge"... isn't it brilliant to discover how far we can take things because of the challenge.

ETA: krishnidoux, you take the prize for the best expression replica!

~

It's is not just fun, it is such a JOY to see what everyone comes up with and that we all play this together

Thanks MaryK, it was the intention! Not mentioning the hard time I had with my son taking the picture... he thought it was hilarious. I guess it is.

I am in love with today's line-up. So many, beautiful and different takes on the same picture. Yay, thanks for playing along!

So many great interpretations for this one.

As I have nothing golden, except for a little jewelry, I based my interpretation on the patterns in this painting. The vintage jacket I am wearing has a similar scheme of images inside of geometric patterns (squares and diamonds). The scarf has gold threads in it, although they don't show at all in the photo.

For the top, I chose silk instead of my usual t-shirts to reflect the elegance of the woman. This top is asymmetrical, shorter in front than back. (I chose a rear shot instead of the usual front position just for Angie! ; D )

These are SO much fun to look at! I'm jealous that I can't play along this week - but most of my clothes are still out in the garage - and I really have no idea where my camera might be. Ahh, the joys of moving. Thanks everyone for sharing you fabulous outfits!

So much good stuff here! Bella's gold skirt, chouette's totally wearable head-to-toe gold look, Heather and Aida's pattern mixing... turns out it's awesome when life imitates art.

WOW!!

KILLER all round.

Denise, your jacket is sublime. I can barely stand it.

Julie! You have white jeans!

Bella, love the gold skirt!

Another day of lovely outfits. Bella adore the gold skirt! Chouette what a lovely blouse - please do keep wearing it. Kari excellent you have got to wear your new blouse already!!!

I didn't get to participate today as I just wore my scrubs to work. Actually being all blue they would have worked for day I though

Anyway just thought I'd share what I WOULD have worn if I actually got dressed for sure. This skirt immediately came to mind. I was thinking along Kari's lines - animal print!!!

So many great outfits! I didn't have time to post this morning. The jacket is a new one, a goldish khaki, and the style is so 80's it just cracks me up. Underneath is a cream t-shirt. Denim color slacks, and leopard shoes with gold trim. The jewelry is a big faux gold and pearl necklace, and a gold charm bracelet with vintage charms. The charms have tiny colored jewels, which reminded me of the accent colors in the painting. And then a thin red belt and red bag to echo the accent colors.

Overall I was going for the look of golds with a neutral and a pop of red. As others have said, an outfit I never would have pulled together without this challenge. Thanks!

What fun-I love these challenges! I will try to jump in tomorrow!

OK, I'm late! Got home late...I got lots of compliments on my outfit. I wore a cream jersey dress that has a knife-pleated skirt ("sunray", if you will) and a cross-over bodice. I wore a short black 3/4 sleeve fitted cardi over it, belted with a narrow gold belt. My shoes are black patent pointy-toe sling-back kitten heels with pale beige contrasting trim and gold pyramid studs. I also wore a silver/brown/black/gold scarf with a geometric patter on it in a bow around my neck.

Jenava, I love your interpretation! So well balanced with the scarf and pointy shoes. No wonder you got compliments.

Nadya the shoes are the perfect touch!

CocoLion, you do have something golden in this outfit: your beautiful hair! The complimenting colors bring it out.

All the many interpretations here are so good. This is so fun!

Jenava, I love how your pointy shoes echo all the triangles in the painting! You look beautiful!

Krishnidoux and Jenava are real life muses--where is a famous painter when you need one?

Jenava: I am in love with your sunray skirt. I am on the lookout for a coral, pink or cobalt one.......you look so very pretty.

Nadya: Your 80s inspired jacket is dreamy......and nice work with the leopard flats and the touches of red. You belted the jacket. That is my favorite.

Denise: I may have squealed aloud when I saw that super groovy jacket.....wow. Um, please wear the beauty more often!

Kate: That blouse looks incredible on you. Bejeweled neckline=daytime gorgeousness.

What fun! I decided to base my interpretation on color as I don't have much in the way of pattern in my closet, geometric or otherwise.

My Ralph Lauren gold/tan cardigan is loose and flowing which was the general feeling I capture when looking at this painting, even though the patterns dominate and are very geometric there is still a flowing sense to it. A creme color Calvin Klein tank and Tahari Indigo slacks bring in the other dominant colors. The Chico's belt has both gold and silver tone metals, even some rust tone wooden beads and a blue/green bead as well. My Fidji's are dark brown metallic.

How'd I do?

I think you did awesome! You really captured the feeling of the inspiration painting!

Carole, your outfit is great! This was a lesson for me that mixing fun neutrals can be all the pizzazz you need...

Heather, this is actually a dress! The drape of it is amazing. It's one of those items they keep in stock at Nordies all the time because people use it as a wedding dress...LOL.

Jenava, your outfit is amazing! I am going to have to play with the black-gold-white combination now, isn't it striking and unusual?

Yes, this challenge certainly was worth it's weight in "gold". Haha...Sorry, couldn't resist. (-:

No way, Jenava! Wow. Way to COMPLETELY remix that gorgeous (bridal?) frock. I was completely fooled.

Everybody looks so fantastic! Thanks for undertaking this Bella, I realized how much I really did miss Hanna's creative challenges.

Heather, thank you :"> I do need to start posting outfits more regularly; keeps me on my toes!

Ornela, waving back I'm so tickled we had the same idea!
