So, it took me a while but I think I got everyone. I am really glad I participated in this challenge. It gave me some great things to think about style-wise and was a good catalyst getting me playing in my closet and posting photos! Thanks again to Ramya and April and all the other YLFers who were patient with me!
Gracie-- Thank you for the compliments on the jacket and turtleneck. The jacket is a YLF-thing . . . you might recognize it in others' posts as well.
JAileen -- I appreciate the shoe compliments . . . they are a challenging area for me with my job and fussy feet, but I think these two pairs are winners.
Deb-- I really appreciate your kind words.
Joy and Amiable, that is great! Euro can certainly be a high compliment coming from our cultured group at YLF.
La Celeste-- thanks-- things are going alright. If nothing else, the newish job is a great learning experience and should allow me to expand my wardrobe a bit!
Jewell, i appreciate the compliment on the scarf-- wasn't about to let not having "the piece" stand in the way of a good outfit.
Beth Ann, so sorry to hear about your unfortunate news : ( It is awesome of you to notice the draping and practicality-- good eye
Adorkable-- thanks! lol -- I'm rather a fan of your hair, myself
Sarah-- Ellie is a beautiful name-- it isn't my given, but my family has called me some version forever because my kid brother couldn't pronounce my given name and always called me Elly -- I've never been to paris myself, but could totally get into your cinematic vision
Ramya-- thank you for the inspirational challenge. I could very much wear these looks in my "regular" (non-jet set to paris) life and it was just what I needed to kick off taking some photos of WIWs, etc.
Rabbit-- Consignment and vintage is a great place to pick up pieces, I hope you find yours. I won't take too much credit, since another YLFer posted the deal on the boards, several of us purchased the jacket . . . I just know mine gets worn proportionally more often than most . . . but then again I like a small wardrobe and it was great for my body type and climate.
The oxfords have become really practical pump alternatives, esp. since I live somewhere snowy.
Mary K -- Thank you . . . you are making me blush.
Cocolion-- Awesome to hear this helped you get a feel for me. I know I don't post pictures often and sometimes that can get in the way of YLFers being able to "see" what I'm talking about in threads. I too often feel a bit of kindred spirit in our similar environments. You have my home pegged pretty well, although in my daily commute I often travel from high dessert/foothills up to the pines.
Caro-- awww . . . blushing again. And credit definitely goes to Ramya for the challenge and April for keeping dibs on me and being patient!
Neel-- thanks, and I apologize again for keeping the chain waiting. And our very own Buscuitsmom gifted me the beanie, which was my first cashmere and I totally adore.
Ornella -- You are too kind.
Torontogirl-- that is a high compliment. I don't think I have the right personality to live in Paris, but I do admit that I admire Ines de la Fressange.
April-- once again I appreciate your patience. Probably not, but we'll try to make it to somewhere equal fab this year.
Carambola- hope it inspires you to wear a jacket in multiple ways! I just find my Speigel so versatile.
Lisa- thanks, I think I will be on the lookout for something similar next year, but you know what they say about invention and necessity . . .
Lyn67-- I appreciate the compliment on the drapey top and the tunic/dress-- the black one is slowly becoming one of my faves.
Alasse-- thanks for chiming in. I really should post more pictures (slinks into the shadows . . . it was one of my resolutions and this is the first you all are seeing of me in 2014)
Hil-- effortless is what I was hoping for!
Rachylou-- LOL, I don't think I've ever been called chic so often before. Thanks, from you I take it as a very sincere compliment from someone in the know.
Shevia-- thanks, are you participating in the chain? I can't wait to see.
K-- Awesome to see someone liked that look-- it isn't as much my style perhaps as the others, but where else can you get away with the drama? The shirt has french cuffs, which helps!
Angie-- Aww, thanks Angie! I hadn't thought about the waist-surrendering aspect, food for thought.
Thanks as well to Aubergine, AviaMariah, Kkards, and Ceit and Amy K!
