YLF Book Club - First official calendar

Hi everyone,

As you may have read in Friday's Book Nook post, the YLF Book Club is really happening:-) I'm super thrilled!

First of all, thanks again for all the fantastic feedback on the previous thread!
Many people indicated that they would like about six weeks to read the books and four weeks to watch a movie. So let's try alternating books with movies and keep it within that general time frame?

We'll make Friday our regular YLF Book Club day, and we'll have our meetings here on the forum. Every time we start discussing a new book/movie I'll start a new thread, and at the same time I'll also announce it in that Friday's Book Nook post on the main blog.

To make sure everyone has plenty of time to get the titles on our list and really dig in, here is our calendar for the next five months.

9 December 2011: Parisian Chic
Euro Chic has been on many people's minds lately, so I thought Inès de la Fressange's style guide would be a good one to start things off with.

6 January 2012: Bill Cunningham New York
Touching documentary that tries to capture the legend behind the camera.

17 February 2012: 100 Ideas that Changed Fashion
Let's see which ones make our personal top 10?

16 March 2012: The Queen
What happened behind the scenes in the days after Princess Diana's death?

I'm itching to get started! Hope you are too?-)

Fun, Inge! I have just read Parisian Chic and seen Bill Cunningham's documentary and the Queen! I am off to a good start and looking forward to thrashing out these topics with the forum members

Hmmm. I wonder whether I should see the documentary and movie again? Off to order 100 ideas

Yay! Now I just need to take another vacation so I have time to read. The last one I took, I managed four books in five days. That was in May, and I think I've finished two since then!

Angie: Wow, definitely off to a good start! I have a feeling seeing the movies again wouldn't be punishment for you:-) So why not, just to refresh your memory.

I am reading parisian chic slowly. sometimes I have a strange sense of deja vu like hey Angie always says that or that's a look Angie did way before the book was published....
very interesting reading.
