Yikes! Too Much!!!

I haven't actually pulled the trigger; I wanted to wait a few hours. . .And I'm not really going to buy four pairs of ponte pants; I just have four styles times two sizes in there.

The light Pliage color is called *Pearl*, but I don't want a bluish gray so I stuck the black one in too to hedge my bets. Has anyone seen the pearl one IRL?

Not sure if *need* the pleather jacket or if it's yucky, or if the tweedy blazer is too boxy. . .

A white watch, blue earrings, a slip, a Pliage tote, and trying the Halogen panties have been on my list for awhile, and I just realized I could use a white tank top and the Nic + Zoe ones are my favorite because they are fairly high cut. But what is my excuse for the rest?

I welcome discouraging words!!! If any of you has seen any of the stuff below and the quality is bad (like pilling on the ponte pants or super nasty smells), let me know.

Donna, I can see all this stuff working great and nothing looks crazy or over the top. Of course you need to order all those pants and may the best ones win!

That seamless slip has shown up on a few lists and you've got me thinking of it as well. There were also knit and jersey dresses in the sale -- this could be an item that helps them work. Hmmm.

I like the Skagen watch. I have been eyeing those for years but never bought.

Yikes! I have more on my list than you. And definitely need to pair it down. I wish I would have been able to see the Longchamp bags but there were too many people stuffed in the accessories area, I couldn't make my way. Hopefully I'll see them this weekend.

I admit to looking at the Longchamp totes with some longing. I liked the bilberry color. Since it is not a need, I'm resisting. Some of the colors seem too light for me personally. I would just see dirt in my future.

But on the subject of bags, am I the only one who doesn't like the white interior or the black interior? White is visible enough to find things in the bag, but too susceptible to showing wear for me. Black interiors and I can't find anything in them. I wish a contrasting, but not too light color was the standard. I don't know why it isn't. Sorry - rant over.

I hope you find the right ponte pants. I like the looks of the VC blazer as well.

I was surprised that they don't have NYDJ ponte skinny pants this year - usually that's a NAS staple and I get an new pair each year. I'm also looking at the KUT ponte pants - for the price they're definitely worth a try!

The light colored longchamp bags I've seen seem to get dirty quickly so I'd get the black. But I live in a dirty city and take public transit.

I am going to warn you off the skagen watch. I don't think they're particularly well made and had an issue with the face on my white one cracking completely across within a year. I'm told it is pretty common due to their signature low-profile design and the fact that they use thin glass. See in the side view how the glass is higher than the bezel? That's the signature skagen look but it means the glass is not protected at all. It was not covered by warranty either. Just my 2 cents but I won't be buying a skagen watch again. Pity because the designs are nice but I want my watches to last without having to baby them.

I saw the Longchamp totes but I don't really like the expandable or leather versions. I know both have their pluses, but I find the regular "Le Pliage" so much more classic and might have picked one up if it was included. That said, I'd probably go with the black, but then again, I'm a "classic" girl.

These are my favorite ponte pants from Nordstrom. Slim, but not too skinny. They run big. I got the smaller of my 2 sizes and still had them nipped in at the waist. And they are full length for the short-legged among us.

Thanks delurked, Diana, and julesegr: My thoughts exactly on the colors of the bags. I like the light color so I can see the contents inside, but I worry about the dirt and grime on the outside. So black seems much more practical, but I find black so b-o-r-i-n-g -- but not so much so that I am willing to pay full price! And julesegr, I hear you on preferring the classic style. But it occurred to me that I need the full size (which would rather overwhelm height challenged me) to make my Nordie returns, and then would zip it up to a more manageable size.

Diana: Thanks for the warning about Skagen watches. The circumference of my wrist is 5 3/8", so the smaller size and white color really appealed to me. I've been wearing a Swatch watch (from the '80s!) but the plastic wristband is stained blue from ballpoint pen ink (probably).

Thanks, Angie: I'm just too short for the knit jackets you suggested. Guess it's a blessing in disguise as it (somewhat) limits my shopping.

Liz A.: I had those beautiful ponte pants in my cart -- until I saw the dry cleaning instructions. They look a little too dressy for my current need, which is for something a bit like leggings without the constant need for the butt cover.

Well, I made today my Triple Points Day, so in casting a wide net, I also added the three things below. The plaid shirtdress I wanted sold out in my preferred color, and in the alternate pattern it sold out in the smaller of my two sizes. I will have to make MANY trips back to Nordies to make my returns, as I ordered most items in two sizes and I figure some won't work at all.

I have the black expandable Longchamp and it is the only purse I use now.

The bilberry is very pretty and a little more interesting. I would have bought it if I didn't already have the black.

I have the black and love it! I bought it two years ago and have used it almost every day since, except this summer I am using a previously bought regular (non-zippered) one in a lighter grayed blue from several years back. My black one still looks brand new. I regularly carry notebooks, books, etc, in it. The only drawback is only one open pocket, like the other ones, and no key attachment spot.

As to the color, please take this with a grain of sand as it was yesterday and I don't have the best color sense-it was very light, almost white, but with the palest blue/gray undertones, not pink undertones.

Hopefully someone with better color sense will chime in.

I don't know about the pearl, but I put my stained grayed/light blue one through the wash two times in a row and all the stains came out. I think that may have included ink stains, but I don't remember now.

I have the Kut jacket from last NAS. Hasn't been a workhorse, but it did get use. And I thought it was quite nice for the price point. Just a little edgy for preppy me.

I order multiple sizes all the time, too. I take 2 or 3 sizes with me to a dressing room, so similar in that respect.

Ah, Thistle, but with an online purchase, it all goes on the card until returned! My billing cycle starts on the 13th or 14th, so I should get all my returns made before they send out the next bill on the 8th. And if I miss the bill creation date, I call to get the real balance.

I hope you can avoid taking your two little ones with you in the dressing room -- although I'm sure they would have a ball playing with the pretty clothes!
