How thoughtful Polly.

I love Office and have owned a couple of pairs of their boots, they are comfortable but not in the same league as Clarks on my slightly wide feet. I do love these

but have found with my grey booties that I'm driven to distraction by the dark wet splodges which appear in the rain (until the leather dries).

Did you see anything for yourself Polly?

Sure, I would ask her first, if you are not sure. If I were her I would take this as a compliment, but people are different.

Well since you ask...

I am hoping for tall black boots this autumn and oxfords and am thinking of going back and trying on these:

and:

Both a bit out of my comfort zone. My feet are slightly wide too, though, so that's a really helpful point. Also about rain splodges on grey booties. That would annoy me a lot too! Great boots, though...

Both of those are fabulous and quite edgy but I know you could make them work with your style. I really hope they pass your comfort test.

Thanks Julie - I'll let you know how I get on!

I WANT THE FLORENCE BROGUE!!! Now.

I'll wrestle you for it, Polly.

I wouldn't hesitate, especially knowing that you always keep your style fresh and trendy.
My mom and I actually own several of the same clothing item - jeans, tees, tops - and occasionally borrow jackets or tops from each other. I don't feel at all that our age gap means that we have to wear completely different clothing items.
