Would these flats work for me?

II can't wear ballet flats in general due to my square wide feet - I can't describe how awful they look, like little circular boats. But these have a bit more to the toe area. Are they hideous? Be honest. I just saw them in the catalog. And yes, I am SYC, but if they might work I will keep them on my list. I have no casual flats other than gear....

I have wide feet, and I totally agree that round ballet shoes don't work with me.

I haven't tried those on, my inclination is that these would not work with our wide feet.

They have higher vamp than ballet flats which can make them more comfortable but also more difficult to wear with skirts. How do you plan to wear them? I would say try them on and see - often this is the only way to find out!

They are pretty darn cute. I've found that when shoes cover the sides of my wider foot, Then my foot doesn't look so bad.

And those rain boots are definitely fun-kay! They're tempting -- they're bound to make you smile every time you see your feet

I don't personally care for those flats, but it's hard to judge when they aren't shown modeled on actual feet. >:(

As I understand it, vamp is to shoe what forehead is to face...or maybe what chin is to face...

???

Anyway, it's the part of the shoe from the toe up the top of your foot. Generally, a "high vamp" pump, for example, would cover much of your foot, but not as much as a bootie. Whereas ballet flats that show toe cleavage would have a very "low vamp".

I love the rain boots, but not so much the flats. Covering up so much of the foot seems like it would make the foot look larger and shorten the leg line.

lynne, I think you are right but I actually need my foot to look larger - my feet are so stubby and wide that I can only wear boots under boot-cuts or they disappear! I don't need them to look wider, though. (I'm a size 5 double wide, though I often end up in a 6M).

I like those flats. They remind me of moccasins. I actually bookmarked them, though no buying at the moment, because they might work for my fussy feet, so thx for that! They'd be great with jeans, I think.

Honestly, I do not like these at all. I have wide feet too and found Report flats (the scrunchy kind) to be relatively flattering and comfy.
