How short can a work skirt be? Angie typically recommends skirts no shorter than just above the knee for those over a "certain age." But a colleague in her later 40's was wearing a cute tartan skirt that was about 4 inches above the knee (but lower than mid thigh). She had black tights and boots and a chunky corded black sweater. She was height/weight proportionate. I thought she looked great.
A lot of skirts have been shorter this year. (I wouldn't wear something shorter than mid thigh anyway.) Also does it matter if the skirt is pencil or A-line? Our dress code is business casualty unless client dresses more formally.
