I truly have no judgments about athleisure whatsoever. I have lots of judgments about other things, but not this!
I find it a puzzling thing how often this comes up. People are different!

I keep trying to maintain an "eternal optimist" attitude. I like wearing non-loud athletic gear a lot, and I work out (not all the time, but, regularly). I like to imagine that a lot of people I see wearing gear out and about, are doing that because they are trying their best to fit some workout and movement into lives that are full. I salute anyone who takes that step of dressing the part, because a lot of building a regular fitness habit is making oneself FEEL like she or he can afford to move.

Granted lots of modern fabrics are made to move more -- yay for the menswear that's got stretch in it, and for more women's clothing that can let us move, too. But, if more Americans, especially, were in outfits that made them feel like walking, or stretching, and it made them DO that, it would be terrific.

I loved the Kit & Ace image posted earlier!

I got nothing against people who like to dress that way, but it depends on the occasion.

Wearing sweats to a job interview, wedding or funeral, for example would be more than a little inappropriate.
