So our dinner dress code has been upgraded to "casual elegance" (no jeans!). Rather than a panicked rush to try to buy something I'm planning to wear this dress, which I thought was too small but seems to fit ok. It also has the advantage of being some kind of non-wrinkle fabric so I can shove it in my bag and change on the train.
But which topper? These are the available options at the moment, or I could see if there is a little black or white shrug thing in my size at the mall by the station. I do also have a jean jacket but it's a bit meh.

1 -- black jersey shrug thing with ruffle around the neck and lace panel in the back
2 -- grey viscose jacket thing
3 -- black cardigan with a slight peplum effect
