MMmmmm! You look amazing, Beth Ann. I love that skirt on you. Both sweaters look sensational.

For the YLF fantasy party I will be dressed as Caro's twin! And I will bring the bubbly!

pppssssst....Beth Ann....I made you an extra batch to tuck away for the family post party.

I hope we're playing Duran Duran at the bash. I might need to sing Save A Prayer if it wasn't planned.

I can't decide whether I like the turtle neck or the v neck better. The skirt is fabulous. You know I am overcoming my aversion to prints. I already know I would not have picked this print for myself if left to my own devices. I love blues purples and teals. You are SERIOUSLY making me reconsider my aversion to bold prints. This is dramatic but not overly so. It definitely fits the opera diva vibe. I love this!

Oh, thank you, Angie! I'm sure Duran Duran can be arranged. We have Harry Connick Jr. in the Ballroom, Christmas singing in the Salon, and a acoustic indie showcase by the fireplace in the Library. And I would love to hear you sing!

DayVies: A print to accomplish so much so quickly. They are great energy producers as long as you don't make them compete for attention. And as long as you wear them with confidence so they don't overwhelm!

You probably don't want to hear me sing, Beth Ann. But my spirit is in the right place. Sounds like a hectically festive and fab bash. xo

I'll bring Kansas City barbecued ribs and cheesy corn and some of DS's brew with chili peppers. Beth Ann and Angie, you must sing a duet!
I'll wear my black tuxedo suit with graphic sequined top.

Gorgeous skirt! Not sure what to wear but I will be playing blackjack at Jayne's table!

I'll be wearing what I wore to our Christmas party (and to sing one number with DH's jazz band)--black shirt, black casualish pleated maxi skirt, gold glitter tank overtop as a vest, patent cap-toe ballet flats.

And I'll be bringing the mulled cider for wassail...

I'm going to wear a pair of perfectly fitting, fluid trousers with a subtle pattern that I will magically find before the party, a black cashmere turtle neck, lots of bling around my neck and some sky high silver pumps that will magically be comfortable all night long. I will bring a gluten free "Almost Famous Coconut Cake" that is made by a local chef and is the best cake you have ever tasted; gluten free or not. I'll bring DH. If he's had enough bubbly he'll help sing.

Beth Ann, your skirt is gorgeous! All eyes (and ears) will be on you, for sure.

I'm still fairly new to the YLF community, but may I come to the party, too? I'll wear my real life recently-bought Ann Taylor black animal print shirt and the elegant black silk track pants with cuffed ankles which exist large in my imagination. I'll buy a fab sparkly clutch just for the occasion and carry it in one hand. In the other hand I'll carry freshly-made Dutch banket.

Is the party still going on? Great idea! Peacocks do party after midnight, right? Because, they should, looking as gorgeous as you do, Beth Ann. Love the blue and black combination and the maxi look for party time.

I'm at the door with warm brie smothered in apricot preserves and sliced almonds and wearing my new Tory Burch blue and green print dress (to be posted later this week) so I can match you, like birds of a feather!

I am late to the party! But I brought drinks, and I cannot say enough fabulous things about the peacock skirt! Peacocks are my favourite animal ever (I have a Christmas tree devoted entirely to peacocks), and this skirt is so beautifully done and looks fantastic on you. It very much reminds me of the post Angie just made about the long skirt and turban - so fashion-forward and classic all at the same time. LOVE this outfit, and I so wish I either had the figure or the courage to pull of such an outfit myself.

Oh, dear, I hope I am not late for this party...

I shall wear my bubble skirt with (currently only in my head) a fabulous GOLD capelet and my new pointy kitten heels.

And I'll bring Strawberries Romanoff (because, hey, in this fantasy world there are totally fresh strawberries in December).

And I'll also bring my husband (wearing a bow tie!) and he will bring his martini briefcase. (Which is exactly what it sounds like - a briefcase that he customized to hold all the fixings for a perfect martini!)

Woah! What fun this is!! I have been away for a while coz of health issues but hope newbies are in on this party too!! Would love to hear you sing in that awesome skirt!

I do not know how I missed this but you look stunning Beth Ann. that skirt is gorgeous. Off to decide what I would wear...

Joy: A party couldn't be complete without some KC barbeque! My years at KU taught me that no one does it better!

Una: Never played blackjack, but I'm fascinated --- particularly by you and Jayne together. Sounds dangerous!

L'abeille: With an outfit like that, you must reprise your jazz solo!

AviaMariah: Cashmere and Coconut Cake -- such a winning combination!

Windchime: What the use of having a party without adding new friends to the mix! Of course you're welcome! I'll have to check out the animal print shirt at AT!

Vicki: I can't wait to see that dress -- and grab the brie from your hand at the door!

Echo: This skirt does have a bit of a retro classic vibe, which I'm loving this year. I bet you'd find the look easier to wear than you think!

Diana: LOVE the idea of a gold capelet, and I've already admired that skirt! Hubby is welcome (cause bow ties are cool), and I think I'll have him mix martinis in the library, by the fire!

Vipanchi: Newbies are absolutely welcome! As the song goes: "Make new friends, but keep the old!"

Totally late to the YLF party, but that's the nice thing about virtual parties, one is never really late! And it's always "fashionably" late, right?

Beth Ann - what a cool outfit and a fun thread to read! You look appropriately dramatic for the season and the occasion, as well as comfy and luxurious.

Since it's a fantasy party, I will be wearing the silver v-neck wrap sweater that I don't have yet. It is currently gift-wrapped under the tree. And a cheery plaid midi skirt, with a big black grosgrain bow at my waist. Red velvet smoking slippers. I'll bring balsamic-glazed chicken drumsticks and my guitar.

I think the outfit sounds amazing! Put your guitar in the library when you arrive, but not too close to the fireplace!

Oh oh - I just popped in and saw there was a party going on and realised I had to join! I will be wearing this gorgeous white Helmut Lang dress which will show off my holiday tan with impossibly high gunmetal grey shoes that I shall kick off in order to party hard.

The only thing I'm not sure about are the accessories? Maybe just dangly earrings.

For food, I will bring a pot of my Butter Chicken with some fragrant rice. Must be careful not to spill anything on the white dress.

Very nice skirt and perfect outfits. But how about the whether in your country? I am wondering if the weather is cold, to wear this skirt will feel cold.
