Congratulations! And how amazing you look; relaxed yet dramatic

This is one of my favorite outfits I've seen you post, just love the red+silver+stripes. Retirement is already kicking in an even higher level of fab-ness, clearly! Love every minute of your hard-earned retirement which will likely find you busier than you have ever been. All the best.

Congratulations! I know you've been looking forward to this new time of life for awhile, as did I. You look great - relaxed and happy in red! Good luck and have a lot of fun.

As an update on retirement wardrobe in my life: Today I was doing a bit of closet organizing and ended up pulling out spring tops and sweaters, mostly those worn to the office last in spring through fall 2016. Last spring I wasn't ready to delete them all, but now I am making a large pile to go. It does make me a bit sad because I really like these items and liked wearing them, and most are fresh and new looking, and I also remember the money I spent, but I just don't wear them.

I paired a few favorite sweaters with my more casual tops where I could, and found a few quirky combos that I like, so not all is lost.

I remember you asked me to report if I ended up wearing my work skirts when retired, and now I can safely say I barely wore any. I wore a dress or skirt to church, and maybe a couple of other times, for a total of 15 times or less last summer. I did a purge of those items in the fall, but the tops and sweaters stayed at that time.

I hope you have so much fun and interesting days ahead! My most recent activity has been working on a collection of small quilts. After my quilt entry into the county art center amateur competition won first place in its category, I was invited to have a show in their sales gallery beginning in May! I've also been doing collages, mixed media, and improving my painting skills, teaching my grandkids art lessons, and still running and lifting weights.

In short, my wardrobe has made a good change from public administration office business casual to artist!
