Wiw: warehouse store "suit"

What I wore for a meeting today, for sitting in a freezing conference room all day. A down coat may have been more appropriate.

Black ponte pants: Costco
Black ponte blazer: SAMs club
Red/pink/yellow shirt: gap
Black pointy toed platforms: anthropologie

Too much black? Too much contrast w the shirt? Too much emphasis around the hips?
Other comments?

I like it! I think I would go with the jacket unbuttoned, to give a longer visual line through the center, and I'd like the sleeves to be standard length, but I like the colour pop in the middle against the traditional black suit-y look.

I like the bright coloured blouse as it give a nice bit of uumph. To my eye I think there is just a little too much length to the blouse as it shows under the jacket and the proportions are skewed a tad. Wearing the jacket open would definitely help.

The advice to open the jacket would be spot-on if you weren't combatting the cold!

I side with Diane here. The blazer & pants are fine and the contrast with thr shirt is also nice, but there's a bit too much lenght pipping out below the blazer... tucking (or maybe just sporting the blazer unbuttoned?) would solve the issue.

I would unbutton the blazer and tuck in the top. The bright color is great here, I like it!
