WIW: The look for less

Since I started stalking Angie's Pinterest, this outfit ( http://m.pinterest.com/pin/18577417183994324/) was THE one I had to have.

Here is my interpretation of it using a trusted leather jacket and 2 H&M pieces. The shirt, in a sweatshirt fabric, was part of their teens line last season. The skirt is now in store.

What are your guys take on my interpretation of it?

PS: Forgive the messy bathroom. Bedroom is worse. Doing capsules can ruin one's house. Hehehe.

Oh, I really like it! I got the skirt after all for my evening outfit, so we are skirt twins now. I'm not sure if I will be able to pull of a more casual look with it though, you really did well with it.

Very cool. I like your version. Glad you posted this. I have a long navy blue chiffon skirt. It was part of a bridesmaid outfit. I always thought it could be worn again in a cool way and now I see how!

@Suz, I was reading your comments on capsule creation in @Transconna Shannon post (?) and now I am determined to create a "Feeling blue Capsule". At first I thought this disrespected the capsule rules/definition, but after reading your comments I am convinces capsules also can be interpreted to one's psych/sentimental needs... (rather than professional/life roles) And I need a capsule for those days when NOTHING fits. Not even your own skin. Thanks again for the inspiration.

@LoveSarahDub: Believe me when I tell you it is the skirt. It is totally the skirt. I started running in March this year and until June I was running 3 times a week and going to the gym other 2 to 3 times a week. I WAS thin then. I got guests for the summer (loads of sightseeing, but even more loads of eating!), I got a new job, I had a small accident (burned the skin on the back of my knees with the dog's leash while hiking) that prevented me from running (or walking properly) for a week... and hv been nourishing myself out of boxes (pasta, chinese, pizza) for another week. Believe me, I am not in my best shape. I actually am my almost heavier ever (44.8kg); while I usually weight 42-43kg (and the goal with exercising was coming down to 40kg! And hv more muscle in this 40 than I have right now.) I NEED to go back exercising regularly like YESTERDAY!

@JulieJohnn: a 100% polyester. It looks much better, the fabric much richer than what it actually is. @Astrid can now tell you about this little wonder too. Check out her outfit on the "Some thoughts on the evening part of the event on Saturday".

@LoveSarahDub: I have a black and a brown leather jacket. I hv pleather in white, navy, dark red, pink and purple-ish/blue-ish. I want a green one (I saw on in the beginning of summer @Forever21, but they didn't hv my size left...) From the colourful ones I can tell you thht the ones that get the most wear are purple-ish, red and then pink. The purple-ish (I hv posted pictures of it here) and the pink look particularly good with dark wash indigo jeans. I like the red with black dressy shorts and black pleated skirts (I like the girly contrast against the leather).

@Cindy: I'm flattered you preferred my sleek jacket instead of the all-the-way-out-there moto from the picture. I was a bit concerned that this change would take away the punch from the outfit. As it is: it turned out quite well. Thanks again!

@Wendi1984: You don't need a REASON to get a moto. You NEED a moto. Big, fat, full stop. Hahahaha.
