Today was another meeting at Headquarters (does that sound sinister?) so I went more conservative. The pants are the linen/polyester Halogen suit ankle pants that I got a year ago. The shirt is my favorite top ever.

I froze last week at HQ in a linen blend jacket, so for today I picked this moto-inspired rib cardigan. It was navy, but I hoped (partly tongue in cheek) I would look sophisticated and intentional pairing navy with black and lime, if anybody cared, lol. I rehearsed different ways of wearing it, and I thought fastened at the top (#4, which is different from #3) was cutest. But in the end I wore it cape-style (#5) as I needed to put it on and off frequently.

At the end of the day my boss said, "Are those the same shoes as you have in tan?" I said yes and she said, "These look so dressy." This was inevitable--the whole program (composed of 50 women and gay men) is going to notice that I wear the same shoe in one of two colors almost every day. I'm good with that.

For dog walking I tried a tee in a new-to-me apricot color. For $7.50 I decided to experiment. I like it!

Pants and shirt picked by Rae. Shoes and shorts by Angie. Sweater, belt and tee by me.

My outfits are very simple but I try hard to get little things as right as possible. I often have an outfit picked out the night before, but then something like how to fasten my cardi or which pair of shoes to wear derails me a little and I spend extra time on an outfit I thought was ready to go! Do you do this?
