Jeanne - Blondie was great, especially considering they Debbie is 75! I wish I’d seen her in a club.
Suz - suntiger is right. No way you could wear those boots in July in NYC. The subway platform was 20 degrees hotter than the outside air when we left the stadium. We got a local train because it came first. Any other time of year.... Anyway, I was comfortable as I was, except on the subway platform. The heat dome has passed.
The concert was awesome! We went as a birthday present for my husband (three months ago). I’d seen EC and he was jealous because he hadn’t.
As I said above, Debbie’s still got it. The band was excellent. I love Blondie’s music and they hit the highlights even in a shorter set (co-headlining plus the stadium has a curfew of 10). They even did a short cover of Old Town Road.
But Elvis.... this was my second time seeing him. I love Blondie’s music more to listen to at home, but he’s in an elite echelon of performers who are much better live. He was incredible. People didn’t even mind when he did some of his new stuff, because it was still so good! (Often the “new stuff” is meh.) Husband was very very happy. (Blondie isn’t his type of music so that part was only pretty good for him.)
