Hi All,
No1 is what I wore to church on Sunday. I realize the black pieces are difficult to discern but the outfit is:

Black dress with contrast fabric drape
Skinny black jeans
Portmans Jersey Jacket
Black belt
Rivers Flat Boots

No 2 is what I wore to work today. No appointments and a quiet day at my desk so surrended the waist and went for a more casual look (but couldn't help adding the pearls).

Long sleeve dress with graphic black and white skirt - thrifted (new with tags)
Black skinny jeans
Unstructured black drape cardigan
Rivers black boots
Portmans silver and pearl necklace - a gift

It's so cold here at the moment that anything that can be worn over skinnies and boots is ideal! It's a bit of a uniform at the moment. Back to more of a business look tomorrow for lunch with my Manager. Feeling lazy so thinking Sunday's outfit might work.?

And for you color loving YLF's I did carry a gorgeous apple green bag on Sunday;)

Deborah, I'm loving black on you, too! You wear it so well and look just beautiful! I love how you layered both dresses over skinny jeans and your necklace is gorgeous! So glad you added it to your outfit. Definitely wear #1 tomorrow to work tomorrow, and I just love #2! Both are sophisticated, chic looks.

I especially like #1 and your statement necklace is a wonderful piece. You could go to lunch in #1 from what i can see of it.

I like black too, but very, very, very seldom wear it from head to toe.

I absolutely love outfit #2!! The break of the light patterned skirt is divine and so is the softness that is created by your necklace. Just beautiful and very fab

i notice in the style blogger world many of the ladies are working to bring 'more color' into their outfits. but i love black, and your two looks here sum up why

Angie, I think you might be telling me the all black outfit needs softening;). I will see what I can do and maybe change it up a bit for tomorrow. And thank you re dress 2! I only bought it on Saturday and I have worn it twice (Team Wear) and I love it.

The necklace is actually long and I have doubled it and clasped it with another pearl "tassel" thingy.

Steph, thank you. You so made me smile. I do want to add color but not stop wearing black. I'm with you re elegant black summer dresses... You should see my summer wardrobe!!

Thanks Em, hope you post your outfit for us to see:). It's my white ceramic watch you see. It's quite a good bracelet alternative as it can work as quite a statement piece.

I think you look amazing! I also don't do head-to-toe black often, but sometimes I really enjoy it. I like the way you've done it here.

I LOVE that necklace, and I'm not even much of a pearl person (despite having a lovely inherited collection). The combination with silver is so pleasantly unexpected!

I love the necklace and your #2 look! Can you have your photographer press the shutter half way to focus before taking your picture? You look gorgeous and I want to be able to make out the details!

Modgrl thanks for the advice re photos... photos were taken by Master 8 who has one eye on the television and the other somewhere else when he is taking the photo Hubby takes better ones but he sometimes leaves early. I am playing around with an app called Gorillacam that adds a self timer to the iphone ... once I master that I should be fine:)
