It's finally cool enough in western NC to bust out tall boots during the day! Wheeeee!
These actually need to go to the cobbler, because the zip on the left boot wants replacement, but these remain some of my most favourite boots I own.
I'd been wanting to try this foofy blouse with a more tailored skirt for a while - thus far, it's been worn only with jeans. And this skirt always makes me want to wear these boots, so I wanted to wait until it was weather appropriate. The vest is because I haven't gotten to stitching the buttons on the back with elastic (there's not much ease, so as soon as I flex my shoulders, the buttons all down the back pop open! I knew this when I bought it, and it's an easy fix; I just haven't gotten to it yet). I also need to tack the darts in the skirt down more - when I walk, the whole thing creeps up a bit.
