Oh dang, forgot to pop the collar for the photo, but consider it popped now.

I was studying my purged items list the other day when Shannon asked how we pick what to keep. I discovered that I have a huge rate of dress purges. I love the idea of dresses, I buy them, but I cannot seem to make them work. My purge rate and cost on dresses is double that of the next highest categories. I think it is a symptom of not knowing how too pick a dress.

My style leans edgy and dresses are often not edgy at all. This dress, however, is definitely a little bit rock and roll.

I styled it with high black boots that are loose at the top to counteract the extra thigh showing. I added my triple belt to make it rock some more. And I took off the necklace I had planned because the dress had plenty of decor on its own.

How did I do? Those who know my style, does it match in?

I have planned a dress effort again next summer but this is probably my only fall dress. I need time to figure out what to look for.
