WIW 7-7: Rick Owens, am I supposed to tie this top?

Because I never figured you were the Daisy Duke type... but it does look sorta weird just hanging there -- like a backward tux. Cool weird, but weird.

- Inhabit cotton open weave sweater
- R13 skinny boy jeans
- Linea Pelle men's belt
- Vera Wang ballet flats

Also, I need a bang trim. I'm starting to look like Velma from Scooby Doo.

I like it untied, but not under the sweater so much. It's a really cool top and you look fantastic in #1!

Thinking RO wants it hanging, in front. That said, I'd have to try it backwards just to sort out any possible options.

Like the idea of that shape down one side seam of the top also. Better lay off the coffee here- no one has less business floating clothing fabrication ideas than I do.

I suppose I could reverse it but it's a relatively high collar plus there's a big black tab there, like RO likes to do. So it would REALLY look weird!

I think it looks very cool untied.

I have a hand knit vest with long pointy fronts that I have difficulty styling. You've just given me the idea to try sewing the front closed and wearing it like this top.

LOVE that top IK! I much prefer it untied - gives it more edge and interest IMHO. Love Angie's suggestion of a more cropped pullover for layering.

I like the layered effect in #3 - how about if you try it tied then layered with a short boxy top? Too crazy?

I like it! (actually both untied and tied). I'd roll the pants. Also it would be cool to wear with something else pointy, like a pointy toe. Or maybe not? But I'd try it out.

Ok, I vote YES you should tie the shirt when it is worn on its own with jeans or whatever. You are right--its does look wierd just hanging there, it is begging to be tied.

That said, it looks super cool like that Under the sweater... a really laid back layering effect... love it for Autumn.
