Oh Suz I am so sorry. Pamper your self. Audio books kept me sane when I broke my shoulder.
let us know how you are doing.

Oh Suz I just saw this, so sorry to hear of your accident, how unfortunate. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Oh nooooo!! Suz, what a pain!! I have had a few close calls with bag straps so I am SUPER careful now! (As I am sure you will be, too, now that it's too late...)

Grrr. This hurts just to read. Wishing you a speedy recovery

Gah! So sorry to learn this. Cat therapy sounds good, though

Alas, I also need surgery. It's not usual (except for young athletes) but this is a severely displaced break and it got worse in the week between my fall and the second x-ray. So...there it is! I'll be wearing a sling for a while...

Thanks for commiseration!

Oh, noooooooo!!! So sorry to hear this update! Wishing you a smooth recovery from here on!

I am sorry to hear that, Suz. Stay wise and rest! I know too many people who keep trying to move and do everything when they get hurt.

I'm so sorry - such a terrible accident ( and more scary stories along the way ). I'm afraid of something like that happening to me since I've got diagnosed as having osteoporosis versus osteopenia before ( went on weekly medications with a hope of slowing the process down ).
My mom got her wrist, hip and such broken a few times - long and slow recovery each time. Take your time to heal, don't rush things, go with doctor advice ( and hug your lovely kitty ).

I’m so sorry Suz. I hope you get better soon. I know injuries can be frustrating, but try not to rush your recovery.

Just saw this! Oh no! I hope your recovery is speedy and non-eventful!

Oh no, Suz! Just saw this. I’m sorry about your broken clavicle and that you have to have surgery. Sending positive thoughts for a smooth and quick recovery!

OMG Suz, I just saw this! I’m so sorry, but I’m glad there was no head injury too. Yikes! Please take care and heal quickly. I hope Mr Suz is up to spoiling you and being a good nurse!

I hope your surgery went well and the rehab gets you back to normal quickly. Such bad luck and it happens so quickly.

Sending healing vibes for post-op recovery!

So sorry to hear this. Hope the recovery from surgery goes as well as it can. Sounds like you’ve got a bit of a long road ahead of you.

@ Suz - the surgery isn’t a bad thing, and may result in a better/faster outcome in the long run. DH broke his collarbone whilst skiing - a surprisingly gentle fall, but he landed funny. He was 50yo. He did not have surgery, and his recovery was long. He was trussed up in a harness/brace for 16 weeks and healed with a minor deformity - which is usual when you don’t have surgery.

The good news is he recovered his golf game and even lowered his handicap, but he couldn’t carry his golf bag (backpack style harness) without irritating the area, so went to a push cart.

OMG, what an awfull experince you had...I commiserate and sending healing vibes to you Suz! My DH broke his right wrist 2 weeks ago (could be the same day with your accident) falling on the front door stairs. Stairs were clear but we had sleet on that icy dark morning-and he rushed out not knowing that. We have 7 steps and no rail for the reason of not ruining the aesthetic of the house(!!) and too late but am so so mad about this vanity, now:-((.. He got a cast but had no surgery and just wondering how long his complete recovery will take but I am also aware it could have been so much more worse than that...It was really a frightenning experience to see him falling that high and long. It happened in a fraction of a second and I was in my PJ and slippers but instinctually wanted to step out myself to help but he shouted me to stay still---otherwise no doubts it would have been a double accident.
