ETA Ask Angie: Angie, I don't strictly need a belt to keep these jeans up, but after wearing them for a bit- I could pull them right off now. I'm wearing thin leggings under in the pic... would you size down? They're comfy as is...

WIB and WITA - what I bought and what I'm thinking about... I have tomorrow off, so I can go back or to another store. Sunday if I'm in a tizzy too.

WIB below - cashmere/poly tunic sweater that's soft (sales girl suggestion) and - what's this? - jeans! Boyfriend jeans in fact. I bought them in my waist size... Which is a little loose. But hopefully that means they'll be kind to my digestive system. I've really wanted patched jeans for a long time and when I saw these on Angie's list, had to check them out. Bf isn't my thing, but I'm liking these and feeling comfortable in them.

I didn't buy any vests or coats. Angie pointed out the trench I was looking at wasn't warm enough for me, and then I realised I hadn't thought any of it thru. I'm actually good in this department. My Bernardo puffy from last year is more than good. The wool vest and Una's coat are über cool, but also more tailored than the direction I've been going in. The sheepy vest is more in line with the way I've been rusticating, but I'd want to try a small before taking any leaps. I'd like to hear more of y'all's thoughts on my other thread too...

Lastly, there may be other things at other stores I may want more. One thing about the burbs... It's a fancy casual, hot weather climate they stock for.

I love the red top and the jeans look fantastic on you! They fit you really well.
Lillypup is a good shopper, she needs a treat or she will go shopping again!
I have the same jeans but I still have to show more pictures so that I can get more input from Fabbers.

Ok I've been wearing the jeans for a couple of hours... Theyre expanding like all my pants do... I could now pull them off without unbuttoning. Maybe I should size down?

I like the idea of patch jeans better than ripped. It looks like you can go down a size but will they be comfortable around your belly? What if you had the waist taken in slightly of even the hips or some other strategic location, whatever that might be to keep them from heading south.

I was always jealous of the secret elastic sizing bands in the sides of my sons pants when he was little. If needed, I just pulled the elastic a bit tighter and buttoned and the pants miraculously stayed up on his skinny Staysfit frame. Why don't adult clothes have those?! They were never tight and they still stayed put.

How fun are those patchwork jeans, a keeper for sure! And I like the tunic top. I tried it in two sizes, but it just clings in the wrong places on me, it drapes well on you though! Your furbaby is such a cute shopping buddy!

I love the tunic and the jeans. This same thing happens to me - jeans start out feeling great and fit just right in the morning and after a few hours, I can pull them off without unbuttoning them. It's insane, right? I sized down once....and then I didn't wear the jeans at all coz the time needed for the jeans to go from 'snug' to 'comfortable' was uncomfortable to bear!

Lily pup is adorable. She actually took a nap in the trial room!!!!! What a perfect shopping buddy....'there' with you but totally ok if you want to spend the whole day shopping....she'd just nap!

The tunic sweater and jeans are super on you! Glad you got them. I like your thinking about the coats, too. But what about that furry jacket you're holding in pic 5? I think that would be great for you.

Sadly, I just looked like a short Sasquatch in the furry jacket... There you go, that's my fashion fantasy: looking good in furry, not like a giant fuzzball.

I can't believe how "chilled" Lilypup looks at the NAS. Sadly, my pups would not behave nearly so well.
