It's interesting to me that gear and gear-adjacent clothing is a clear winner. I have Title Nine dresses, pants, and skirts that won't quit. They're a wee bit too sporty for work wear - but IDEAL for travel and casual wear. Athleta's clothes are equally well-made but too monochromatic for me. Title Nine is their colorful sister.

I wish I could fully endorse Lands End and L L Bean, but I find their clothing quality uneven (just like J Crew).
