White jeans with metallic cuffs: DIY?

If I wore my metallic gold jeans inside out and cuffed them, they would be black with gold cuffs. Hmmm.
I like Janet's idea of gunmetal cuffs on blue or black ( or grey) denim.

I am going to make this a weekend project - will give me something fun to do and to wear in Florida and Vegas! I may actually just do a raw hem instead, or try a cuff like this.

Not Diane, but the gold definitely is fabric. It would be easy to add to the cuffs once you found the right material; it's just a facing. Some lamés might not wash well, and they don't stand up to abrasion. Very striking and fun!

Fun pants! I would be inclined, as Ginger suggested, to sew in a fabric facing. I haven't used fabric paint in years but I think it might be kind of stiff.

Oh, and I'm with Ginger--I would be tempted to try it with fabric rather than paint. But that's me; you know, I sew sweaters rather than knitting them, too.

Definitely doable, with fabric being preferable to paint. A tailor would probably do it for you if you source the fabric.
I'd love to see this in silver, too.
