Ok...I know I have several jackets already BUT I originally had a white blazer on my spring/summer wish list. I found my fabulous white leather jacket which I'm so pleased with but it's now too hot to wear as I knew it would be.

Parsley sweetly commented in my outfit post yesterday that maybe I need a white blazer to wear over some of my summer frocks. Natalie also mentioned a white blazer for this purpose.

I like the idea of this Calvin Klein convertible jacket as it would provide length options for wearing with both trousers and with dresses. What do you think of this style?

Also, I was admiring some jackets like this in Target, in colours. It occurs to me Target would not be the place to get a white blazer. A white blazer has to have good good tailoring. Anyways, must say, mentioning the Target version makes me feel like the girl who said croissants were just a rip off of Pillsbury crescent rolls... I guess I love Target as much as she loved Pillsbury...

I like it, and the convertibleness is very cool. I wear my white blazer a lot in spring/summer/fall, and even sometimes in winter.

So Kristen and I went to The Bay at lunch time to return the non-white white jeans. They had the Calvin Klein convertible jacket there - the fit was completely off on me. Much too wide in the shoulders and bust and I could have put both arms in one sleeve they were so wide.

BUT - I found a fabulous plain white Bianca Nygard blazer in petite - absolutely fabulous fit and classic style and it's in the trunk of my car as we speak. Sorry no link - it's not on the website for some reason.

Kristen was so cute - she made me name five outfits I could make with the white blazer before I could buy it so I was sure I would wear it - now THAT'S a good friend

Oh yeah - and it was on sale for $61!

Suz - the CK jacket was positively gorgeous and the gold zipper where it comes apart was really well done as part of the "bling", if that makes any sense. But the fit was really quite strange.

I find the Nygard jackets fit me quite well. I am looking forward to seeing the pics. I find the white jacket to be as useful as the white jeans. They can go with so much and add a bit of tailoring to a casual outfit.

I have two white blazers and wear at least one of them at least once a week in summer. So I am all over the concept.

Not sure I'm in love with this particular one. Zipper details are not really my thing, it turns out. But if you love it, give it a whirl!

Just to clarify - I did not get the CK zippered blazer. The fit was awful for me. Instead I bought a classic crisp white single button blazer with collar in a great petite fit.

This seems like a fun option, Shannon. A cream or white blazer is a great piece to have, IMO. It can give a spring/summer brightness to so many pieces.
