Este Lauder classic Double Wear foundation. I have tried many other long lasting no smudge formulas, but this old one is best. Dior eye shadows set - the one with 5 shades - I change the colors as they come in new versions, but hard to find a better formula.

Can rose water count as part of the classics? Not only it is great for cooking but it's a fab toner, I have been using it for years.

I don't use any commercial make-up, I only use green products. The skin is the biggest organ and, in my opinion, chemical products can be absorbed by the skin and cause some health damages. There are some valid brands for tinted cream, foundation but a good mascara is the most difficult to find! I can recommend Madara, Purebio and Alva for tinted creams. Ilia, Madara and Kosas offers some great alternatives to foundation, Dr Hauschka does beautiful eyeshadows. Benecos does fab pencils and nail polish.

Minaminu, thanks for mentioning rose water! I love it in coffee, haven't thought to get it in a long while.

I know I'm way out of the target demo, and it probably has wax or petrol or some awful thing in it to get it banned from sale in Europe, but I like Noxema and miss it when I live here.

I forgot Cetaphil cleanser. I have been using that for decades.

Maybelline Full & Soft mascara (is it a classic? It's been around for ages); CeraVe lotion, Dove soap, Anastasia brow duo.

Lots of CeraVe here, for face and body.

I’m with minaminu — no classics for me, I only use products that are tested and approved by the EWG (Environmental Working Group).

Another vote for Cerave products here. I love their cleansers, and my husband won’t use any other moisturizer but theirs.

Huh, I don't think Cerave is available here.
Thanks ladies for the recommendations on green beauty.

Interesting that Cerave isn't available where you are, Liesbeth. Here it's in DM, Rossmann, and other drug stores, right next to the Nivea.

I’ve heard great things about La Roche Posay. Liesbeth and FashIntern, are those available where you are, and if so, have you tried anything by them? Actually, I hope I’m not wandering too far from the thread topic. Can La Roche Posay products be considered classic?

Hi Anne, I do have La Roche Posay here. Wouldn't consider it classic but yes I have tried their toleriane face cream after noticing my face got evermore sensitive. My mother in law is a apothecary who carries the range and adviced it. But I found it not hydrating enough and gravitated towards something else after the tube was used up.

Anastasia brow pencil--because they have such a wide selection of colors. (The color that most closely matches my brows isn't found in other lines.)

I use mostly products that are more natural, so I don't use too many "classics." I have a lot of Jane Iredale. It's pricey, but I don't wear makeup a lot, so I can afford to splurge.

As far as La Roche Posay goes, I have sometimes used their Eau thermale, in the spray bottle. I think that is somewhat of a classic. I put a few drops of an oil blend in my palm and then spray some water on top, then mix it up and use it on my face under my moisturizer.

Anne, sorry, but I can’t help you much. That name sounds familiar, so is probably available here, but I’ve never tried it, can’t tell you anything about it. I could go look in a store, but Liesbeth has already given better info than I’d be likely to get that way.

Maybelline Full and Soft is one of my go-to mascaras too. NARS creamy concealer might be a classic at this point. Also Neutrogena dry-touch sunscreen, although I’m sure it’s been adjusted over the years.

I’m using up my last cerave cleanser from before they reformulated.

I’ll have to look through my medicine cabinet and makeup drawer and see what I’m forgetting...
