Which brown boot?

I'll preface this by saying that I'm having a hard time finding a good spot in my apartment to take photos. Pics are very dark. Hopefully you can make out enough of the details.

I'd like to add a brown boot to my collection this season. I want them to be appropriate for both casual and business casual. Both of these are equally comfortable and the price difference is marginal. Let me know your thoughts on these, and which one you like best. I have a slight preference for one...

I think I prefer the Danskos from the side. Front view they look almost interchangeable. Does that match with what you're seeing in real life?

Yeah, they are similar from the front. The Borns are shorter on my leg. Not sure if that's better or worse. I think the Dankos are dressier?

Dansko. The taller height is extra fab. Killer boots, Marianna. Isn't brown looking FRESH. (I wore my old brown Donald Pliner mid-calf boots yesterday and loved them even more than before).

Ahh, I think that's it. I like the way the dansko starts to curve in on the back and hugs your calf, because it's a little taller. It's shaplier, but very subtly so. Will you ever wear them with bare legs, tights or leggings? Or will these be with skinnies only?

Great -- thanks! Dansko it is. I've never worn Dansko before but saw these in size 43 and decided to give them a try (don't think Dansko usually makes size 43). I think they look nice and not like comfort shoes at all and should work for my biz casual wardrobe too. I haven't worn brown footwear in ages (maybe never) so these do feel fresh for fall!

Traci - I don't wear skirts or dresses often, but I think these boots will work on a bare leg/hosiery too. They seem pretty versatile. They're snug on my calf, but comfortably so.
