Will you even wear something you buy that you don't really want? I can understanding replacing your Danskos if they are getting a little worse for wear but definitely buy something you love and can see wearing. Something funky...a little edgy....a little UWP...something that is YOU.

To be honest, I'm not sure you need sleek black ankle boots anyway. Don't you have the black Doc Marcie's? If so, wouldn't these work? You also have fabulous coloured booties and those gorgeous burgundy boots. Just saying...

Those burgundy boots you own are, by far, the greatest thing after sliced bread. They bookend perfectly. I say close the chapter on the black booteeee search for now.

I HAVE those Fluevogs! But in black velvet, so can only wear in wintery temps (or could I wear them year round?). Do not have the Marcies though I really wanted them. I thought they were redundant with the quilted booties, but when those die, the Marcies will hopefully still be available somewhere....

Zap, I agree - wore the burgundy boots today and felt great! I haven't worn them with dresses before but now I have seen the light!
