Shannon you are such a trooper! A wonderful example of why attitude is the most important thing. You have dealt with a huge handful wonderfully and best of luck with everything and welcome back!

Missing your beautiful presence on the forum. Take care, Penny.

Love that you guys took the bull by the horns so to speak and got these things settled! Yay for you! Look forward to seeing you here soon.

Attitude is everything. You're doing a great job of handling what life throws at you.

Wow, that's definitely a lot to happen all at once. I'm glad to hear you have a plan in place for your MIL. My grandmother has Alzheimer's and the family recently found a home for her and it has been a big relief on everyone. And thank goodness your kitties didn't escape! A new car is always fun.

Geez! That's a lot of lemons and lemonade! Big hugs and I'm so glad things are looking up. Really glad you have a plan in place for MIL. How scary about the cigarette in bed! Yay for safe kitties and new car!

Big hugs, Shannon! You are Queen Grace Under Pressure for sure!

Way to take the bulls by the horns.

Shannon, one of my favourite authors talks about the fact that who we really are is most obvious in times of trouble and challenge and clearly you have maintained grace and wisdom throughout displaying the Shannon we all know and love. You have been in my thoughts and it will be good to have you back:)

Oh my ! How utterly scary and disheartening. I am glad that you are taking control and feeling good about it.

I look forward to your grand entrance.

Glad to hear you have wrestled things back under control. So much to contend with! Has Iain started university classes yet?

Well done. SOunds like you handled it all with courage and wisdom. Looking forward to seeing your fabness again soon.

Shannon, I'm in awe of the manner in which you've faced each challenge head-on and conquered. I hope the next few weeks bring some peace and relaxation!

Wow.......that is one HUGE sack of lemons you were handed !!!
Most importantly ....... You handled it all...... your kitties are okay, you still have a house and a 'sexy' car and you have looked after your MIL
I hope she realizes how lucky she is. What have you learnt about yourself?
You are kind, resilient and strong

This is way too many lemons, but I have to say - you make the *best* lemonade!

Sorry to hear you're dealing with so much all at once like this, but it really does sound like you've totally taken the "bull by the horns" so to speak, and gotten a few things in place to help improve the situation a wee bit.

Despite the negative goings-on, I am curious about the 'sexy car' bit ...sorry, that just brought a big smile to my face and I'm glad there is something fun and nice going on in the midst of all the drama.

Meanwhile, I am thinking that the 'sexy car' might go very well with your future dreams of living in the city.

Hang in there Shannon, and as others have already said - you epitomize "grace under fire" in a way that is very inspiring.

My apologies for not getting back to this thread until now. Thank you all sooooooo much for your support and words of encouragement. It means more than you know

Dang. Well, ahem, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Nice.

I can only hope that I have a tenth of your positive attitude! I'm dealing with a stressful situation right now and this post was very inspirational. Thank you.
