Well, me being someone who goes barefoot in a 68 F degrees house.. I ditched them a long time ago. However, for wearing socks when going out in public, I usually just ditch them when I start wearing petal pushers which is around 60+ degrees F.

For me, it is a lot to do with foot comfort, in that my feet need time to get used to "no socks" after wearing them all winter. I might try it for short periods from about December, which in Australia mean from maxes of about 75 F. In Autumn, though when my feet are hardened, I can go longer with no socks.

I was just emailing my family across the country that "spring is here"....even though it's only 60 degrees. I saw so many women today wearing sandals....out on the street walking... It's still a bit chilly for me but I appreciate the others who are hopefully optimistic. Yes...sun and 60 is totally different than cloudy, rainy and 60.

I get cold very easily, so I wear either nude knee heights or nude hose even during the summer and only ditch socks in the heat of the summer when I am not at work. For that reason I wear open toes shoes only sometimes on the weekends.

I did it today, and the outdoor temperature is - 70 degrees F.

Am I the only person who never ditches either my socks or my tights? ... I find having socks or tights on a lot more comfy unless I'm at the beach

As often as possible! If it's 50-60 in spring/winter I'll do nude knee highs; and anything above 50 in summer/fall. I also have several pairs of very low profile socks which I'll wear with booties, either with bare legs or over the nude knee highs.
