I don't really think I had any big fashion or style surprises this last year, Maybe that is what happens when you combine 4+ years on the forum with a late adopting mode!

Exciting pants! Coloured, printed, and shiny. I never thought I would be a "fun pants" chick.

My green jeans became wardrobe workhorses which surprised me. They were a clearance rack purchase on a whim to try out the colored jeans trend. And short booties, I've always liked them but worn them with bootcut jeans. Now I keep wearing them with skinnies tucked into them and quite fancy the look.

I went for silky button-fronts and abandoned knit tops. I don't like the feel of silk or the fuss of buttons, I'm getting used to it.
