Diana, don't think I can add anything of value to the dress discussion, but can't wait to see what you end up wearing. However I wanted to comment about your hair. I remember reading about how you feel so much more you with shorter hair and after seeing the photo of you with longer hair I wanted to chip in to say I agree, you are so much more YOU with shorter hair.

I think that the lace dress is lovely! I think Michelle Obama's dress is lace is your inspiration photos. If it is long enough I think it could be perfect! I'm getting a vicarious thrill from your planning. Such a fun event to dress for!
