Great question! Editing my NAS cart now...

1. Tall leather or waterproof suede boots, cognac or black. 2-3" stacked heel, straight shaft, 16-17" shaft height, 16" diameter. I despair. Maybe it's time to look into custom?

2. Soft white silk tunic top, high scoop neckline, for layering. Sleeveless is OK. Tapered hem or high-low, side slits ok but not flared. 28" length. Will I be happy with poly, at a great sale price? No.

3. Replace camel cashmere peacoat with winter wool cost in a more flattering color. Could be grey or ink, could be longer peacoat or mixed media with leather sleeves. 32-34" length. OTOH I've got my black Burberry with removable liner; in my climate this works year round. So...

3 alternate. Pointy toe booties in grey or pewter, 3" heel.

I didn't buy just three things. I failed to buy a red tote. I failed to buy a wristlet. I did buy two pairs of black slacks (none of them silk, but I am really hopeful).

It was a great exercise. I succumbed to NAS hysteria.

Hard to say as I have no idea how things will fit post baby. Pre-baby I would have said sleek, elegant and super comfy black booties, a drapey asymmetrical sweater preferably in a warm and sumptuous fabrication, and a warm, elegant puffer that meets my climate needs.

Warm, common theme. Our summer has only seen a handful of days above 80. We're all dreading the winter.

This is nearly impossible, if I get to include my NAS buys in my current closet (in the fantasy world in which they work out perfectly) I could manage with 4:

A black scoop, crew, or turtle to layer with
A nice navy or grey hoodie to layer under my spring and leather jackets to warm them up for my frigid office
A new pair of boots-- probably midcalf and black or brown leather
Jeans-- interesting wash blue or black, straight

In addition to this I would like to add some accessories, a pair of BF jeans, and a couple more blouses or sweaters.
