Both gorgeous dresses and gorgeous on you! Love the Bewitched reference!

Fabulous dresses. I would wear the first one to church. Create the occasions you need to wear them. Go out to a nice restaurant ( if one is open) for a birthday or anniversary, Both look amazing on you.

These are both gorgeous on you, Sally, and I can see you wearing them both with great joy. I love the floral for a wedding, as you say, or a supper out, or fancy brunch, or maybe even just a girls' night out when you want to look nice. The navy is extraordinary! Perfect for your style persona. It's dramatic, elegant, yet simple -- just WOW on you!

Fun! They look great on you!

Thank you so much! I feel excited to have these lovely options and will make the time to wear them,

Yes to the floral with a black blazer - I have a black and a soft blue that will both work. Really good for the odd dressy occasion that I have - and I do go to church occasions sometimes where it will also work.

And the navy will be fun for the evening. Stevie Nicks or Bewitched - it feels dramatic but in a good way.

What I have noticed with occasions here is that people are wearing their dressy clothes - and enjoying getting nice things on. The frantic accumulation has slowed but we want to wear those things we love.

Unfrumped - I related to what you said a lot.

And thanks to all. The pleasure of a pretty dress ( or killer shoes etc) is real, and I think we should all wear the gorgeous things we have.

Wowza, Sal! these are both so beautiful, and you look like a movie star in them. I love that the dark one is navy and not black, a hard to find color that makes the dress even more special. You will find and make opportunities to wear them.

Wow!! Both are killers! Sad about the closing boutique...

These are both wonderful on you. I’m with RobinF and Liesbeth on having occasion wear on hand instead of needing to buy it under pressure.

I agree with many others about the versatility of the floral dress. The hemline makes me think Brooklyn’s recent seminar on skirts might be a good place to look for casual styling ideas. But really, you want to travel with it, so you can wear it to the museum and cafe one day, then to the symphony the next.

Helena’s idea—throw a party and set the dress code to match your dresses—is best.

LOVE the floral dress on you Sal: looking fab!

Thanks again. I found some heels in the dress up box that I tired of about five years ago but feel like wearing again. So yes I might make an occasion.

It is tough times in fashion for sure. Adapting is the name of the game. I think the shopping experience is changing so much right now - and for those of us that like the in store experience it might be harder to get.

Wow, I love both of these! That is an incredible print on the blue.

These are both so pretty on you. I’m sure events will start to crop up. Even here, the light in the tunnel seems closer.

Wow, you will be *so* ready when parties return! Both are gorgeous and work beautifully on you. Very sad about the boutique closing--what a nightmarish year for small businesses!

Thanks again!

Yes I think with fashion retail 2020 sped up some changes that were underway anyway. Certainly here it has meant that online shopping is much more prevalent (international and national), and a casualisation of the wardrobe.
