Wow I was just having this conversation with some people this weekend while talking about our top 5 favorite albums and it turned to clothes & their colors then accessories then household furniture .
I love this thread!!!
Gray- blue- aqua
Most of my wardrobe is gray and navy for bottoms and green- blues( aqua through teal) for tops

Style Fan, you say "all my life", and I don't know your age, but your color combo is exactly what I associate with the 1970s.

kerry, fun that you would choose the same colours as me. And great that you dare to be a minimalist and pick only one colour. If I could pick only one, that would be blue too--in several shades.

efbgen, what interesting conversation subjects! The beauty of conversations like these is that there is no right and wrong, everybody can participate, and the choices may tell us something about each others' personalities etc.

I would have to go with black, cream and blue (quite predictable)....

There are lots of shades of blue I like including denim, kingfisher blue, navy blue...but maybe that is cheating.

In my home I would go with cream/off white and brown (I have lots of wood).....

I hope I don't have to choose though:)

Fun thread, interesting to see what people like.

I could live with blue, grey and olive.

Gray, camel, cream and blue - a warm blue, specifically.

I have too much black in my wardrobe - because it’s easy to buy - and would love to phase it out eventually.

Terrific thread!,

White, black and grey. These are my core colors. My home interior decor is done in these colors, too but in different proportions. I wear a lot of black, in my house black is a color for accents ( accessories).

Well black, black and more black!! Charcoal, pearl gray (clear cool true undertones on the all gray) and denim. White (as part of houndstooth, tweed, glen plaid w black). I always feel elegant, understated, and timeless in "my"colors.

Black, cobalt, red. I do wear white accents here and there, but I don't really have any items of clothing that are fully white. I'd more or less be fine with just black as long as my scarves and shoes could vary!

Fun question! Mine would be blue in all shades, white, black, and a fourth...burgundy. The next color in the lineup would be silvery grey, followed by cool olive. Except for a bit of fuchsia, that pretty much sums up all the colors in my wardrobe.

Blue, white, black, and red if I could only chose four for my wardrobe. My home has blond floors, taupe walls, black furniture, and lots of modern pictures in bright colors. Fun question!

Blue, black and white. I have a lot of runner ups though.

The brunette me would have said black, blue and gray (all shades). The going gray me really had to think on this. I currently think blues, reds and tans. If I could choose 4 colors I would add olive. I reserve the right to change my mind as my hair continues to change.

Our home palette is designed to enhance and be enhanced with nature: creamy walls, natural woods (mid to light tones) and greens are in all the living spaces. Two bedrooms and the laundry room have deeper colors of deep coral, coffee with cream and bold red.....funny how those are colors I like to wear.

Mainelady, going grey will often affect one's colour choice. If I still had dark hair, I think I would have chosen black, white, blue and red. After turning grey, I wear much more grey (always with the addition of a non-neutral) and less black (in particular around my face). Clear red feels too strong/harsh for me now and is replaced by bluered. When I was young, I somehow managed to look good in colours like rust and olives, but as the years has passed, I have become ever more convinced that clear cool colours are the best for me. Best wishing for your greying process and style evolution.
