What do you wear so that big feet don't look bigger?

At this point I'm letting go of "How to make big feet look smaller", I would just rather not feel like Olive Oyl :`) I'm sure it could be in my head, but it would definitely give me a peace of mind to not draw extra attention to that. I'm a US 10M, but I'm also 5'3 so I'm always looking for the perfect blend. I'm looking at oxford heels right now, and I'm hoping they look less clunky than my ankle boots. What do you wear if you're short with long, narrow feet?

Heels is an obvious way to make the feet look less long. Rumour has it Paris Hilton wore a size 12 shoe, hence why always in sky-high heels. I'd say also darker colors, neutrals. Less attention drawn to the feet.

My feet are the same size as yours. I avoid shoes with extra long pointy toes. I definitely wear “regular” pointy toe shoes, though, and think they look especially nice with a pant length which just brushes them.

Yes I too was going to say: avoid a pointy toe. There are some shoes that are magical and make your feet look small. Check out the Ecco soft 7.

With warmer weather on the horizon, you may want to avoid skinny, strappy sandals. Peep toe, d'Orsay, or sling-back styles will reduce the appearance of your feet. Any type of accent like bows, buckles, and kiltie detailing will also make your feet look smaller. Darker colored and closed toed shoes too will help make your feet look more petite.

I am also 5’3” and can not wear heels or sandals, both which help feet appear smaller. I like something that breaks up a long shoe like skin in mules or sling backs, or details like contrasting cap toes, color blocking or even horizontal seams or tassels like on penny loafers.

I'm 5'3" and 9n, and do wear pointy or almond toes-they just look more harmonious on my narrow feet. Always heels, except for exercize, 2-3.5 inches normally. Low contrast to pants/tights in winter or skin in summer. Low vamp or tall boots with skirts. Sandals whenever it's warm enough, with straps that cross in an X, or thongs, not straight across.
My feet look Much bigger in tennis shoes than my regular shoes-big clown feet- so I won't wear them in public.

I wear 10s also. I used to be very self conscious about how big they are. But guess what? Now size 12 is big and 10 isn’t. I just don’t worry about it any more.

FWIW, I've never seen a woman in shoes and thought, "Wow, she has big feet." I must confess, however, that empty shoes at say Ross or The Rack might strike me as on the large size, but that's footwear without context.

I would suggest wearing shoes with a very rounded toe. I have average-length feet for my height, and I have found that when I wear rounded-toe shoes, my feet look really stubby.

Anything with a high vamp (higher on your foot) looks bigger to me. Tennis shoes are hard but the Ecco 7’s look better. No ankle straps. Pointy is ok if low vamp but almond toes are better. All this is an opinion of someone with long narrow feet.
