Walking is a big part of my exercise/mental health regime, and something DH and I do together at least 4 times a week and often more. We do both (hilly) urban rambles and trails (conservation area behind our house, river side trail, lakeside waterfront trail) covering from 6-12km and 2-3 hours. We dawdle, and usually try to stop somewhere for a coffee and a treat.

Regardless of our planned excursion, I wear ‘regular’ clothes and footwear. I don’t have a ‘gear’ capsule for this sort of thing.

What do you wear for ‘hiking’? Do you have a specialty gear capsule? Does it serve your purposes better than jeans, a shirt, a jacket and sneakers would?
